MAKROART
project is about movig with the art to the streets, offering it to everybody, both as a gift and invitation. To achieve it we need the MAKRO scale of the project, we need a MAKRO number of artists involved and a MAKRO scale gallery. We achieve the first with internet, creating world wide network of cooperating artist. As for the gallery, we choose the entire city. Still, question is how we will get the attention of people who are usually so resilient to art? By overwhelming You with it, and inviting into a specific kind of a game. The idea of the project evolved from the microart action, created by Polish art group STRUPEK. It’s a team established by students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. So far, among many minor projects they produced two big and very important enterprises. The Polygon and microart. The Polygon was about exhibiting works of the members in the city of Ostrowiec in places like private apartements, restaurants, and shops. No boundries. Their second enterprise - microart concerned creating a network of micro scale galleries (1:10) in which artists could exhibit minimalized prints of their work. This allowed the artists from Belarus to present their art in the whole Europe. Due to the regime of Lukashenka it was not possible before.
	So now we, the creators of MAKROART international art chart project extend their ideas. We change the scale from mikro to makro. We deliver art to the people but not in the amount determined by the number of team members. Our project is open to everybody, and thanks to the idea of communication by internet, with just the minor effort of sending one e-mail, everybody can participate. We forget about the EGO of artist. We dont care if we are famous or no. Wheres we are teachers, students or celebrities of the "art world". We are artists. We create. Becouse we must. And so we want to share our creation with You . But nothing for free. We want to give You something, so we expect something in exhange. Interaction. What is a gallery without people who visit it. To make it easier we want to propose You a game. We will help You in redisovering Your city and discovering art that will inhabit it. Check our website on 24th June or come to the art foundatrion TAF. for the grand opening of MAKROART project.
